Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the Technology Delivery team at Prescot, Merseyside. This on-site role (3 days per week) offers hybrid flexibility with 2 days from home as part of a dynamic, growing organisation.

You will lead end-to-end IT projects spanning software development, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms, interacting with BAs, Developers, Testers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple IT projects across software development, IT infrastructure and systems implementations.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including frameworks, documentation standards and risk management.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Demonstrated capability in resource and capacity tracking across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects across software development, IT infrastructure and system implementations.
• Oversee full project lifecycle with governance, documentation and risk management.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and key stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Present dashboards and updates to senior stakeholders.

IT Project Manager to join our Technology Delivery team based at our global head office in Prescot, Merseyside. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous IT projects across software development, IT infrastructure, and system implementations.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, incorporating project management frameworks, documentation standards, and risk management best practices.
• Practical experience working adaptively within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Demonstrated capability in resource and capacity tracking across multi-disciplinary technical teams.

Required Competencies

• Excellent interpersonal, team-working, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, inclusive approach.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present dashboards and updates to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Pragmatic leadership ability to keep cross-functional project teams aligned, motivated, and performing to required standards.

Required Work Experience

• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering IT projects.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Google Workspace, or MS Project.
• Desirable: Experience managing projects within scientific, mining, or metals and minerals sectors.
• Desirable: Exposure to system integrations or M&A projects

Required Qualifications

• Formal Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent).
• Degree-level education (preferably in a relevant field) or equivalent practical experience
