KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

KBR is looking to recruit an IT Project Manager on a 12-month contract to work on the Sellafield PPP project, based in Warrington, Cheshire.

Job Overview

The role is to project manage the delivery of IT/IM projects by a range of third-party contractors in support of the Sellafield Project and Programme Partner (PPP) engagement.

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of one or more defined IT/IM projects, typically using teams comprising third-party systems integrators or the Employer's capability.

This role will interact with other teams to understand dependencies and to deliver a technical product to the Business with supporting configuration, training, and support.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop implementation plans that cover all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering to transition into service and beneficial use.
  2. Ensure business requirements are clearly documented and agreed upon by stakeholders.
  3. Communicate business requirements to technical solution providers and confirm solutions meet needs.
  4. Manage potential changes in project scope, cost, quality, and schedule, and handle changes through an agreed process.
  5. Maintain project risk, opportunity, issues, and risk registers.
  6. Manage and report on project costs, schedules, and progress.
  7. Produce bi-monthly project highlight reports.
  8. Liaise with corporate security to ensure project delivery complies with information management and security policies.
  9. Ensure transition into service and service take-on processes are completed.
Qualifications
  • Agile Project Management Qualification and/or Prince2 Qualification.
  • ITIL Foundation and Practitioner certifications.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience delivering software and IT-focused projects, especially SaaS technologies.
  • Ability to lead on-site teams.
  • Delivery-focused with an understanding of meeting customer expectations.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and plans at a support level.
  • Strong knowledge of technical helpdesk support and IT operations best practices, focusing on ITIL principles.
  • Experience working with third parties to manage incidents.
  • Working knowledge of systems, networking software, hardware, protocols, and cloud-based working or similar.
