Job summary

Computacenter is recruiting a Project Coordinator to join the Projects & Programmes Practice. You’ll support Project Managers across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to IT projects for a diverse customer base in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This on-site role requires 5 days per week at Derby or Preston, and the ability to obtain Security Clearance. You’ll coordinate plans, resources, and governance, while growing your project management career alongside experienced PMs.

Qualifications

• Trained in project management methodology (e.g., Prince2, Agile Techniques).
• Demonstrable track record delivering effectively in a project environment.
• Skilled user of Microsoft applications (Office suite).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to elevate issues effectively.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
• SC cleared or able to obtain clearance; able to attend site 5 days/wk.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Delivery: assist Project Managers with tracking plans, deliverables and milestones using tools like Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate Resources & Schedules: book/manage internal/external resources, arrange meetings, ensure timelines.
• Maintain Project Documentation: keep logs, registers (risks/issues/changes) and governance reports up to date.
• Assist with Financial Management: help track budgets, support forecasting, and contribute to monthly reports.
• Enable Change Management: raise/track change requests and assess impact on timelines/scope.
• Stakeholder Support: liaise with internal teams and customer contacts, support governance meetings.
• Grow Your Responsibilities: may manage small workstreams or standalone tasks as experience grows.
