Job summary

RedRock Resourcing is seeking an IT Project Consultant to deliver a varied portfolio of technology projects for business clients. The role blends hands‑on technical work with project ownership and client engagement, from discovery and design through implementation, testing and handover.

You will lead discovery sessions, scope solutions and manage multiple projects across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking and security. Hybrid working offers balance between home, office and client sites.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on IT project delivery experience for business clients.
• Experience in MSP/IT consultancy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MS 365, servers, AD, networks and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions and technical workshops

• Deliver hands‑on installations, migrations, upgrades and remediation

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys delivering projects end to end, solving technical challenges and building strong client relationships?

We’re looking for an IT Project Consultant to join a growing IT consultancy, delivering a varied portfolio of technology projects for business clients.

This is a hands‑on role combining technical expertise, project ownership and client engagement. From initial discovery and solution design through to implementation, testing and handover, you’ll take responsibility for making sure projects are delivered to a high standard.

What will you be doing?

• Leading client discovery sessions and technical workshops
• Scoping solutions, developing project plans and supporting technical pre‑sales
• Managing multiple projects, timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholders
• Delivering hands‑on installations, migrations, upgrades and remediation work
• Working across Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and modern workplace technologies
• Coordinating internal teams, clients, suppliers and third parties
• Ensuring thorough testing, documentation and seamless handovers
• Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery and client outcomes

What are we looking for?

• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience delivering IT projects for business clients, ideally within an MSP or IT consultancy
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls and endpoint technologies
• Experience managing projects from discovery and scoping through to implementation and handover
• Excellent troubleshooting, organisation and communication skills
• A commercial mindset and a strong focus on client experience
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to client sites
• Experience with Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper‑V, Microsoft security solutions or Cyber Essentials would be a bonus.
