Job description

IT Programme Manager - Oracle Fusion plus EUC/IT Infrastructure experience is essential - as part of a integration/merge of two large companies - Utilities/Engineering led.

Max. £800 pay per day through an umbrella - start date mid-August - initial six-month contract (NO SPONSORSHIP)

The Programme Lead will run the IT Workstream for Integration following a merger/acquisition. There are two key strands within the programme:

1. Oracle Implementation for ERP, HCM, SCM and PPM.
2. IT EUC Infrastructure including server consolidation and Device deployment.

We are looking for a well-rounded leader, with polished communication and stakeholder engagement that is pragmatic in approach. The preferred candidate has a hands-on approach with a can-do attitude, having multiple Oracle implementation projects, and has also a good understanding of technical technology implementations, such as server consolidation, service transition and EUC rollouts. The IT workstream is one of multiple, on the Transformation programme.

The lead will have first-hand experience of the Oracle deployment methodology and will successfully be able to bring the Oracle workstream through the remaining exit gates, as well as be able to provide the right level of Programme Support for the team. This includes facing off to senior stakeholders, developing concise executive level packs, and pro-actively identifying and mitigating risks, to ensure the programme does not miss deadlines.

(The programme is inflight and will remain on critical path until Feb 2026)

Some notes from the Senior Stakeholder/Management Team:

  • There is no movement on the rate. £800p/d inside IR35 (through an umbrella) is the max for this role.
  • The candidate will be a strong in Programme Management processes and stakeholder management, and it is automatically in their nature to be proactive in foreseeing and mitigating potential issues. This is a hands-on role, and the expectation is that the role will keep the team on point for updated project plans, dependencies, risks and actions.
  • From a domain knowledge perspective, the Oracle background is the key strength over the wider tech, however a pure Oracle PM will not work for this role. We need a wider breadth as the programme of work includes technology infrastructure work. It cannot be ignored because the person doesn’t understand it.
