Job summary

NRL Group in Dartford is seeking a Junior IT Procurement Manager to support IT procurement across hardware, software, and SaaS, ensuring compliance, cost optimisation, and vendor relationships.

You will review vendor agreements, negotiate pricing, drive lifecycle governance with IT governance teams, and report on savings and risks, working with ITAM and SAM processes. The role offers the chance to develop broad IT procurement expertise in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of IT categories and vendor operating models.
• Good understanding of IT Contract Management, SAM, and ITAM platforms.
• Experience in procurement or vendor roles, preferably in business partnering environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of best practice procurement principles.
• Proven ability to develop and strengthen vendor relationships.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with ability to interpret data effectively.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple disciplines simultaneously.
• Resilient and adaptable when facing challenges.
• A genuine interest in IT and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyse, draft, and revise IT vendor agreements to align with business and legal expectations.
• Determine and negotiate pricing agreements, monitoring ongoing spends and benchmarking across vendors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support business needs.
• Ensure procurement processes adhere to legal, financial, and compliance governance.
• Report on category performance, including savings, pipeline, risks, and issues.
• Work closely with IT governance teams, vendor management, ITAM and SAM to ensure lifecycle management.
• Manage IT contracts, terms and conditions, and entitlement workflows for hardware and software assets.
• Act as a champion for hardware, software, and SaaS solutions by maintaining good market and technical knowledge.
