Job Description:
NextLink is seeking for one of our Global clients, a Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new site and data centre build in the UK.
The role involves managing the full IT infrastructure project lifecycle for a site using a brownfield approach, covering planning, integration, compliance, and implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT infrastructure delivery across Data Center integration, Fibre/Switching, Virtualization, Backup, Patch Management, Monitoring, Workplace management, and ServiceNow integrations.
- Coordinate with internal departments (QC, Logistics, Engineering) and external vendors (e.g., TCS).
- Ensure compliance with IT Security, Quality Assurance, and Pharma regulations (GxP, FDA).
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, risks, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
- Lead Steering Committee meetings and maintain project documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in IT Infrastructure Project Management (brownfield projects preferred).
- Manage IT infrastructure delivery across Data Center integration, Fibre/Switching, Virtualization, Backup, Patch Management, Monitoring, Workplace management, and ServiceNow integrations.
- Strong technical knowledge (LAN/WAN, WiFi, servers, firewalls, virtualization).
- Experience in pharmaceutical or life science industries, ensuring compliance with IT Security, Quality Assurance, and Pharma regulations (GxP, FDA).
- Strong knowledge of GxP (min 2 years hands-on experience) / FDA compliance.
- Recent experience as IT within the Pharma Industry – (maximum during the most recent 5-7 years)
- Experience coordinating with internal departments (QC, Logistics, Engineering) and external vendors (e.g., TCS).
- Lead Steering Committee meetings and maintain project documentation.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, risks, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
- Certified PMP or PRINCE2 Project Manager.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
