At Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains we offer a 12 month IT Placement Programme which will tap into your passion and determination to win, giving you a real opportunity to contribute to our success story. As a team we pride ourselves on challenging and developing our placement students with exposure to a range of exciting and challenging projects spanning across the Motorsport and Advanced Technology projects on the cutting edge of vehicle electrification. You will work on projects that push the boundaries of your creativity and technical capabilities, and where your passion can help to push the boundaries of science and technology on the Formula 1 race track and the road.

Our IT department supports the business by providing a solid I.T. Operations Infrastructure and Service. Accredited to ITIL ISO 2000/9001, we are passionate about improving reliability, availability and performance with a focus of enabling the team to deliver results and succeed on the track.

As a team we pride ourselves on sharing knowledge and developing new processes. As a valued member of the team you will work collaboratively to develop solutions that will enable the whole team to succeed, including the following:

1. You will work and learn with the team to evolve the services, championing change and driving continual improvements.
2. You will have the opportunity to support the business cross functionally providing mainly remote, but occasionally desk side support.
3. You will network with the IT team, the business, customer teams and suppliers in order to implement industry standard and bespoke solutions.

What do we need from you?

1. A curious, tenacious and driven individual with a hunger to work in a fast paced environment.
2. You will be on-track to achieve 2:1 or above in a Computer Science or I.T related degree.
3. You will need a willingness to succeed, with dedication to your team and developing new skills.
4. You will have the ability to prioritise and work within a pressurised environment.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build customer rapport quickly, to enable you to offer exceptional customer service.
6. An analytical mind and the ability to analyse data quickly and efficiently.
7. A high attention to detail and a drive for perfection.
