Job description

Anderson Knight is recruiting for an IT Oversight & Compliance Analyst on behalf of a leading financial services business based in Glasgow.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing compliance function in a hybrid working environment, providing critical oversight across IT operations and strategic development teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring internal control frameworks are robust and adhered to, helping deliver high standards in line with regulatory obligations such as Consumer Duty, CONC, TCF, and GDPR.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a background in either IT assurance, quality monitoring, or compliance.

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location:Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 1 day from home)

Salary:£35,000 – £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive oversight framework for IT operations and the Strategic Development team.
  • Conduct monthly control testing and monitoring to ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Review IT-related data to ensure processes are aligned with positive customer outcomes and remediate any risk areas.
  • Provide regular reporting and documented feedback to senior stakeholders, including the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal Relay (HoICCLR).
  • Collaborate with first and second line teams to assess and enhance internal controls and assurance processes.
  • Use MI and operational data to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted monitoring activities.
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulatory guidance and industry best practices within the motor finance and wider financial services sectors.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to promote a culture of compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in IT oversight, compliance, or quality assurance (ideally within financial services or motor finance).
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks including CONC, TCF, Consumer Duty, and GDPR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive and analytical approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A-Level / Higher education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
