CK Group is recruiting for an IT/OT Support Engineer to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based at their site in Wrexham on a 6-month contract (outside IR35).

Responsibilities:

1. Provide IT/OT expertise to internal customers (Maintenance, Production, Quality) to ensure the availability, performance, and compliance of manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
2. Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and lab systems.
3. Assist with regulatory audits by providing IT/OT expertise.
4. Generate and maintain disaster recovery plans, procedures, and records for computerized systems.
5. Support validation activities for computerized systems (commissioning, qualification, startup).
6. Manage vendor relationships for support activities and ensure SLA compliance.

Your Background:

• Excellent understanding of Automation & Control principles and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Experience in diagnostics and maintenance of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Experience with Siemens PLC/HMI/SCADA (Step 7, WinCC Flex 2008, TIA Portal, WinCC/PCS7).
• Proficiency in writing and reviewing technical documents (specifications, reports, risk assessments).
• Experience with other PLC/HMI/SCADA manufacturers.
• Awareness of regulatory standards (GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU ANNEX 11).
