Gamma is hiring an IT Operations & Warehouse Technician based at our north east Manchester warehouse. You will support the technical configuration of IT equipment and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring orders are received, configured, tested, recorded and dispatched accurately and on time.

You’ll mix hands-on IT configuration with goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch tasks, coordinating with couriers and internal teams to meet daily delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, IT, configuration or technical roles.
• Good understanding of IT hardware and basic networking.
• Familiarity with routers, switches and wireless equipment.
• Strong attention to detail; good organisational and time management.
• Ability to accurately handle serialized equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Configure and prepare equipment to customer specifications. This includes IT hardware, routers, switches, wireless access points and other network devices.
• Provision Cisco, Cisco Meraki and other manufacturer equipment.
• Perform firmware and software updates and test equipment prior to customer deployment, troubleshooting hardware and basic networking issues.
• Receive incoming deliveries and check goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Unload, inspect and correctly locate incoming goods.
• Accurately pick and pack customer orders, preparing equipment for courier collection and dispatch.
• Liaise with couriers and logistics providers where required, ensure orders meet daily collection and delivery deadlines and work closely with Sales, Procurement and Technical teams, prioritising customer orders according to delivery requirements.

What is the role responsible for?

Based at our warehouse in north east Manchester the IT Operations & Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting both the technical configuration of IT equipment and the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.

The role combines hands-on IT configuration and provisioning with goods-in, picking, packing, order preparation and dispatch.

The successful candidate will help ensure that customer orders are received, configured, tested, recorded and dispatched accurately and on time.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

What You’ll Bring

You don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:

• Previous warehouse, IT, configuration or technical experience desirable.
• Good understanding of IT hardware and a basic networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with routers, switches and wireless equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to accurately handle serialised equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
