JOB TITLE: IT Operations Manager

LOCATION: Gloucestershire

SALARY: £45,000

WAY OF WORKING: Full Time/ Office-based | Permanent

IT OPERATIONS MANAGER:

Directly Responsible For: The management and operational functionality of the school’s IT provision, department and team, maintaining a reliable and efficient IT service for staff and students of the school.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the Leadership Team to create a medium- and long-term IT strategy and develop an IT School Development Plan to support growth across all areas.
  2. Design and implement a technical strategy and system infrastructure that supports current IT needs and aligns with future goals outlined in the medium- and long-term IT strategies.
  3. Control the IT budget in line with plans and IT strategies and in liaison with the leadership team.
  4. Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work flexibly, sometimes outside of regular core hours, to ensure that continuity of IT services are maintained.
  5. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical key stakeholders.
  6. Ability to adjust working practices to accommodate changes and needs.
  7. Ability to track assess new technologies and make recommendations on how they should be added (where appropriate).
