IT Operations Manager

Do you have a solid technical background with the skills to manage and motivate people, and to make change happen? Then look no further, as we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in Bristol.

As our IT Operations Manager you will oversee the internal IT functions across Immersive. You will work collaboratively across all business functions to ensure that our people have the right systems to keep them productive and secure. Working with your key partners in Security, Finance, Legal, People Ops and Engineering you will implement IT solutions that service the needs of the business today and into the future.

This role will be hybrid, you will be required to be in the Bristol office 2-3 times per week.

Your main responsibilities (we're scaling fast, so these may change as we grow):

  • Delivery of IT Operations annual priorities aligned to the business strategy
  • Line management of international team across multiple time zones
  • Experience of mentoring team members, fostering enthusiasm and facilitating development opportunities
  • Delivery of cloud-based IT Operations services to a growing workforce
  • Implementation and maintenance of IT Security standards to meet internal security standards and customer expectations
  • Delivery of change, incident and problem management through the team aligning to the ITILv4 framework
  • Management of IT related projects and initiatives
  • Communicating with the business and relevant stakeholders updates
  • Managing team budgets

You should apply if you have (we know it's tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role):

  • An understanding of cloud computing across all CSPs
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft Windows Operating Systems in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Mac Operating Systems in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Google Workspace and Microsoft O365 productivity suites and associated functionality
  • Experience in managing a BYoD estate
  • Experience in managing network protocols and performing diagnostic checks
  • Knowledge and experience in Hardware and Software deployment and management
  • Experience of coordinating the technical elements of large scale live and hybrid events
  • An understanding of security frameworks and data governance
