About The Role

Luminate Education Group is looking for an IT Network Technician to join our bespoke IT classrooms to meet student requirements for IT network and cybersecurity training.

This is a great opportunity to join the IT Services department family at Luminate Education Group, based at Quarry Hill Campus.

The role is to provide IT support for three ‘off domain’ bespoke IT rooms including Windows server management, desktop and mobile devices, network switch and firewall resources.

The customer-facing role is based on site 5 days a week with no remote or hybrid working.

What You Will Do
  1. Manage the IT system network and end user devices in the two ‘off domain’ IT rooms at University Centre and Quarry Hill.
  2. Work with the ITSS team to update E-sports games software in the games room(s) at Quarry Hill Campus.
  3. Ensure IT safeguarding, GDPR, software licensing and all legal compliance is in place.
  4. Update and maintain IT systems to support smooth and efficient operations.
  5. Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot network performance, scalability, and reliability.
  6. Administer and sustain antivirus solutions, ensuring protection against cyber threats where relevant.
  7. Manage and verify backup and disaster recovery solutions to prevent system and data loss.
About You
  1. This is an exciting role for someone with outstanding desktop PC, software installation, fault finding, networking and great communication and planning skills.
  2. The role entails working directly with curriculum colleagues to support their networking and eSport gaming provision.
  3. The role requires solid skills in both networking and desktop support, the successful candidate will find the role fulfilling as it will contribute to an outstanding student experience.
  4. Relevant IT network qualifications or proven experience in an IT service support environment.
