Are you passionate about IT? Do you like problem-solving and embracing innovation? Join our internal support team at Vinci Energies UK & ROI as an IT Support Engineer, supporting a range of software and hardware across 25 offices in the UK and ROI.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our technical team in Coventry. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for a client base of 1350 users via remote connectivity, telephone, or email.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Customer Support:
Handle escalated calls from customers around the UK.
Provide excellent levels of customer service at all times.
2.Remote Diagnostics:
Perform detailed fault diagnostics by remotely accessing customer environments.
3.On-Site Support:
Travel to customer sites as required for planned meetings or project work.
4.Maintenance and Preparation:
Run daily checks on backups and carry out preventative maintenance on customer
environments.
Prepare and build customer equipment as required.
5.Project Work:
Complete small projects, including researching and testing new products and technologies.
6.Compliance and Values:
Ensure adherence to Axians’ Management System Manual for Quality (ISO 9001), InfoSec
(ISO 27001), and ESG (ISO 14001).
Consistently embody and demonstrate Axians’ UK core values— Trust, Dynamic,
and Supported—in all interactions and behaviours, both internally and externally.
Technical requirements are essential with a number of years’ experience
Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365 and Azure.
Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
Good understanding of Network platforms. Ability to configure Cisco routers and
Fortinet firewalls NSE4 working towards NSE5 essential.
Overall appreciation of system security, requirements and proven experience with
relevant software and hardware solutions.
WiFi solution experience & knowledge, with Cisco etc.
Candidates with Microsoft Certifications would prove advantageous.
