Job Description

An established independent consultancy with over 40 years of experience and offices in London is seeking a dedicated IT Manager to support their team of 40 professionals.

This role is based in their central London office, with a 30-hour work week spread over 4 days, paid pro rata at £60,000 (full-time equivalent £75,000).

The schedule includes 3 days in the office and 1 day working from home. Occasionally, you may need to handle essential IT issues outside of regular hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth daily operation of the network, server infrastructure, and software, including the Deltek PIM document management system.
  • Provide IT support and troubleshooting for all IT-related issues.
  • Manage IT budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and purchasing of hardware and software, while liaising with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure the security and resilience of data, systems, network access, and backup/recovery processes, maintaining Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements such as data protection.
  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new systems, infrastructure, and services.
  • Deliver IT training for new joiners and ongoing updates for the team.
  • Manage and maintain BI reporting systems.

Required Expertise:

  • Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, and Palo Alto networking.
  • HPE Servers & Storage systems.
  • VMware vSphere & Windows Server 2019 onwards.
  • Microsoft Hybrid Exchange environment.
  • Microsoft 365 including Entra, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, OneDrive.
  • Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and BI reporting tools.
  • Desktop support for all common application suites.

The successful candidate will be willing to undergo UK Government security clearance, which will be arranged by the company.
