Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking an IT Manager to lead a high-performing on-site IT team across multiple sites. You will drive innovations in IT infrastructure, improve operational processes, automate manual tasks, and ensure fast, reliable systems that support customers and colleagues.

You’ll manage on-site support teams, coordinate technology launches, and mentor staff in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. A data-driven approach and strong collaboration with site leaders are essential.

As an IT Manager at Amazon, you will work alongside experienced, motivated people who have a passion for improving technology. Your work could include supporting your team as they improve operational processes with new hardware, automate manual processes and question solutions to find the best option for the business. You’ll also manage people and help create a dynamic and positive working environment.

A day in the life

As an IT Manager, you’ll be responsible for multiple sites and work in different settings where no two days are the same. You'll make sure the IT infrastructure on‑site is maintained and operational so that teams can deliver on behalf of our customers. Taking a data‑driven approach, you’ll find opportunities to increase automation and efficiency, and pilot different technologies to support these objectives. You’ll report directly to the Regional IT Manager and will lead on‑site support teams, coordinate changes and technology launches, and manage risks. This is a collaborative role that will see you working with site leaders and developing people in your team to progress.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience building, managing and coaching a team in a high‑growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or experience managing teams
  • ITIL and Prince2 certification
