IT Manager

Onsite

We have partnered with a leading manufacturing customer in their search for a new hands-on IT Manager. This role requires an individual with extensive technical knowledge who is eager to actively participate in technical tasks while providing leadership and strategic direction within the team. This position could be ideal for someone with previous management or leadership experience, or for a candidate seeking their next career step.

Role responsibilities and skills:

1. Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the factory IT support teams.
2. Provide technical support to and mentor IT team members.
3. Set and implement the strategic direction for IT services and infrastructure.
4. Manage the operation and maintenance of all corporate computer systems across multiple locations.
5. Deliver highly reliable IT services, primarily supporting factory IT operations.
6. Provide operational support for specialist systems, including new system acquisitions.
7. Coordinate the implementation of new systems and applications with external partners and internal departments.
8. Ensure company systems comply with industry standards, licensing, and security protocols.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, Azure, InTune, and Teams.
10. Manage network configurations including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, and Wi-Fi.
11. Maintain and enhance network cybersecurity, manage SOC providers, and implement security measures in OT environments.
12. Understand virtual environments, particularly VMWare.
13. Manage company data backups and off-site storage solutions.
14. Maintain standards such as TISAX accreditation for information security compliance.
15. Knowledge of MS SQL management and clustering.
16. Hands-on experience with PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
