Turn IT On is currently seeking an IT Manager who is motivated and enthusiastic about technology. The ideal candidate should have a natural flair for technology, experience working within an education environment, a strong willingness to learn, and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers.

This role involves onsite support to multiple areas covering Berkshire, Hertfordshire, and the London Borough of Richmond-On-Thames. Applicants must hold a valid UK driving license and own their own vehicle.

As the IT Manager, you will oversee the management, installation, maintenance, availability, and security of the curriculum and administrative ICT network, including hardware and software infrastructure. You will collaborate with the Senior Management team to develop the school's IT infrastructure and plan projects. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the ICT network is optimized for effective teaching and learning while maintaining security and stability.

Your commitment to delivering the turn IT On support service in line with our company values is crucial. You will also be responsible for fostering effective communication between your school and TIO, staying informed about services and solutions, and managing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities Include
  1. Managing the school's network infrastructure and ICT applications
  2. Monitoring and maintaining key systems including switches, servers, Microsoft 365, and backups
  3. Providing technical advice, training, and support to staff
  4. Managing IT operations and handling requests efficiently
  5. Line managing ICT support staff
  6. Providing weekly service updates and monthly review reports
  7. Enforcing and monitoring policies
  8. Training internal staff
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
  1. At least 2-3 years of experience as an IT Manager/Network Manager/Senior ICT Consultant in a school setting
  2. Understanding of the responsibilities within a school environment
  3. Experience upgrading school IT networks
  4. Self-motivation, excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team, with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

The role is full-time, with an enhanced DBS check required. The salary is negotiable between £32,000 and £40,000, with benefits including pension scheme, electric/hybrid car leasing, cycle & ebike scheme, eye care vouchers, employee assistance program, recognition platform, and retail discounts.
