Your new role

Reporting to: Group Service Delivery Manager, our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to lead their IT Support Helpdesk Team. As the IT Manager, you will collaborate closely with all business functions to ensure efficient IT service delivery for their numerous sites.

What you'll need to do to succeed

  1. Oversee the effective operation of the IT Service Desk, managing communication, toolset, and personnel.
  2. Ensure timely resolution of support calls within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalate when necessary.
  3. Regularly report site performance statistics to the Group Service Delivery Manager, ensuring adherence to service levels.
  4. Drive continuous improvements in team performance related to SLAs and issue management.
  5. Proactively prevent potential problems and swiftly resolve any that arise.
  6. Train helpdesk staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
  7. Provide training on new hardware and software applications as needed.
  8. Analyse helpdesk data to identify trends and recurring issues.
  9. Manage the Helpdesk staff rota to maintain adequate coverage at all times.
  10. Participate in business and IT projects as either a Project Lead or team member.

Essential: At least 2 years of experience in an IT Supervisory/Management role. Hands-on experience with factory hardware and software support, MS Windows, Active Directory, and MS packages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience managing a team.

Desirable: Familiarity with IT software solutions in the food industry (e.g., Emydex, Innova, Hellenic). Prior experience implementing and supporting LAN and WAN networking technologies.
