Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Lead – Vendor Management to join our team. The IT Lead – Vendor Management will play a key role in implementing Supplier Management Best Practices across the Ardagh Group and will be responsible for the overall commercial management of suppliers across the Technology landscape. The role involves developing and managing relationships with vendors supplying IT products and services to Ardagh Group, ensuring they meet performance metrics and contractual obligations, and driving Supplier Management capabilities to ensure vendors provide value, flexibility, and responsiveness. This position is crucial in driving business change, establishing best practices, and contributing to cost savings for Group IT. The IT Lead will deputize for the Head of Supplier Management and support the Contract and Asset Management teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of IT asset and contract management principles. They will contribute to developing the Supplier Management strategy and team to deliver operational objectives and maximize business benefits.

Responsibilities

1. Drive Supplier Management governance frameworks and core activities across all business areas.
2. Collaborate with IT, procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure effective Supplier Management practices.
3. Implement Supplier Management scorecards, evaluation programs, and SLA standards for key suppliers.
4. Analyze IT contracts for compliance with licensing agreements and terms.
5. Monitor contract renewal dates, negotiate pricing and terms, and communicate with vendors.
6. Lead and generate supplier statistics, reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
7. Develop technology supplier strategies, conduct segmentation, and manage contract lifecycle of incumbent suppliers.
8. Identify and lead sourcing and tendering opportunities, including negotiations and contract renewals.
9. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
10. Lead in selecting and implementing IT asset and contract management software tools.
11. Collaborate with stakeholders to share knowledge, establish, and maintain standardized processes for Supplier, Contract, and Asset Management.
12. Prepare and present reports on asset utilization, contract compliance, and cost savings to management and stakeholders.

Education & Training

Graduate degree in computer science, management, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in an IT function.
• Experience with SAP, MS Office, and collaboration tools.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English.
• Action and result-oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of technology procurement, strategic relationship management, or supplier management.
• CIPS accreditation or working towards it.
