IT Infrastructure Manager

Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance

Your new role

As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure and systems, including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, Entra, Networks, and Firewalls.

You will support the infrastructure architecture by providing technical expertise, applying design principles and methodologies to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology. You will evaluate and design solutions to meet business and customer requirements and help develop the strategic direction. Ensuring that our infrastructure is implemented securely following guidelines from NIST, NCSC, CIS, etc., and maintaining all systems in support and compliant with security certifications is essential. Experience in a similar-sized environment with circa 1000+ users is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for IT infrastructure aligned with business needs and strategy.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes and performance.
• Provide 3rd line support for infrastructure-related issues, managing internal and external resources for quick resolution.
• Support the provision of business-specific solutions, ensuring adherence to standards for service and compliance.
• Ensure infrastructure availability and support, including:
• Servers and operating systems
• Messaging systems (Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Mail Filtering)
• Telephony and unified communications
• Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls)
• Anti-Virus (Sophos)
• Backups (Arcserve)
• Databases (SQL)
• Printing and File Storage
• Directory management
• Web filtering (Forcepoint)
• Service monitoring (PTRG)
• Office 365 and Microsoft Entra
• Cloud migrations

Experience needed

• Minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles
• Experience working in an SME environment with circa 1000+ users
• Experience with ITIL and industry-relevant qualifications such as MCSE
• Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• ISO27001:2022 experience
• Experience with Windows server cloud migrations
