HealthHarmonie, part of the Medinet group, is a leading private healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients across the UK. We specialise in partnering with the NHS and ICBS to provide innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organisation's IT infrastructure. You'll ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our systems while providing expert-level (3rd Line) support to our IT Service Desk team. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical skills and a strategic mindset. You need to be able to commute to Birmingham.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, deploy, and maintain core IT infrastructure components including on-premise servers, cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure), networks, storage solutions, and endpoint devices. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of all infrastructure systems.
  • Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues raised by IT Service Desk Analysts. Troubleshoot and resolve high-level incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid problem resolution.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and ongoing support of Windows 10/11 environments. Ensure regular patch management, driver updates, and performance tuning to maintain system stability and user productivity.
  • Administer the full Microsoft 365 suite, including managing user accounts and permissions in Exchange Online, supporting collaboration via Teams and SharePoint, overseeing storage policies in OneDrive, and configuring security tools such as Microsoft Defender.
  • Manage Azure AD, virtual machines, storage, and networking components to support scalable and secure infrastructure. Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement ITIL-aligned processes to manage incidents, problems, changes, and service requests. Promote best practices to improve service quality and IT governance.
  • Define and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to IT Service Desk Analysts. Conduct performance reviews, support professional development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, evaluate service delivery, and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT resources and support.
  • Lead IT infrastructure projects such as network upgrades, cloud migrations, security improvements, and system rollouts. Define scope, manage budgets and timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget. Track expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient allocation of IT resources aligned with business priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation covering systems architecture, processes, configurations, and policies. Produce regular reports on infrastructure performance, uptime, capacity planning, and compliance metrics for internal stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure management experience
  • Strong knowledge of:

Windows 10/11 administration

Active Directory and Group Policy

Microsoft Intune (device and app management)
