Job summary

Expleo Group in Farnborough is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support a defence engineering programme. You will join an established infra team and deliver updates to existing environments, while designing, implementing and operating new computing infrastructure.

The role covers network, server, virtualization, monitoring and security. This role involves third-line support for transitioned infrastructure, working within Agile teams, following change-management processes, and traveling

Qualifications

• Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure and secure design principles.
• Familiar with CCNA-level networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience following change/configuration processes in projects.
• Ability to document technical work clearly and precisely.
• Willingness to travel for project sites and customer interaction.
• UK nationality preferred due to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure environments, including network and security components.
• Deliver infrastructure updates and support design/implementation of new computing environments.
• Provide project-driven infra support to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Serve as SME for IT infrastructure and guide the wider team.
• Provide third-line support for transitioned infrastructure and live environments.
• Follow configuration management, change control and technical assurance practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for installs, operations and delivery.
• Investigate faults, identify root causes and implement resolutions.
• Share knowledge and contribute to cross-team operational capability.
• Collaborate with Agile delivery teams and engage with stakeholders.
