Job summary

Erin Associates Ltd seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Ops team. The role includes hands-on work across AWS and Windows Server environments, with exposure to network support and system upgrades. One day per week in the County Durham office is expected.

You will contribute to projects, resolve complex issues, and expand technical knowledge within a collaborative IT department. Strong AD/GP skills and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT infrastructure project work.
• 2nd/3rd line support background.
• Commercial AWS experience and desire to achieve certs.
• Active Directory / Group Policy expertise.
• Windows Server administration experience.
• Networking knowledge: LAN/WAN, firewalls and VPN.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT infrastructure engineering across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support cloud platforms, perform system upgrades, and assist networks.

IT Infrastructure Engineer – One day per week in County Durham

This profitable and growing organisation require an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer, who has extensive Windows Server expertise and experience working with AWS environments to join their Ops team. This is an hands‑on engineering role that will work across the board from supporting cloud platforms, performing system upgrades, supporting networks etc.

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will join an established and technically versatile IT team, that work collaboratively to resolve issues and deliver complex projects. Adaptability and the ability to learn new tech are key to this role, as they are looking for an adept problem solver who is keen to expand on their technical knowledge.

This role will have the expectation of one day per week in their office in County Durham.

Experience Required

• Experienced in IT Infrastructure project work
• 2nd / 3rd line support background
• Must have commercial experience with AWS, and the desire to achieve professional certs
• Active Directory / Group Policy expertise
• Windows Server Administration experience
• Understanding of networking technologies – LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN
• Excellent communication skills
