Our Story:

Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. We complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors across the UK, providing nationwide coverage with local knowledge.

We are part of the LSL Property Services PLC Group, which includes Your Move, Reeds Rains, and PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities, estate agents, and private customers.

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Azure, Cloud, O365, and Big Data solutions to join our team. This role involves enhancing and deploying IT Infrastructure services, supporting our shared functions, and mentoring junior engineers. The role is hybrid, based in Kettering.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement IT Infrastructure services as part of the strategic IT roadmap and projects.
• Support the adoption of Cloud technologies, including Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage the lifecycle of IT Infrastructure Services, from design to retirement.
• Support Cloud Infrastructure, including server, storage, and network components.
• Support Infrastructure Services and Tools such as Active Directory, File & Print services, and Exchange.
• Manage relationships with technical partners and act as escalation point for junior team members.
• Maintain IT assets in the asset register.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Identify and implement improvements, communicating with stakeholders.
• Ensure tasks meet quality standards like ISO27001, maintaining data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Comply with legal and policy requirements regarding health & safety.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS VMs, PaaS Databases, and App Services.
• Experience implementing Cloud-native services.
• Understanding of Azure networking, EntraID, and Cloud security principles.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Cloud/Infrastructure Support roles.
• Supporting Active Directory, GPO, and Azure AD.
• Experience supporting remote access solutions like VPN, Cloudflare, Azure VDI.
• Knowledge of anti-virus solutions, networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and network technologies.
• Solid understanding of Backup and Restore technologies.
• Experience supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022.
• Experience as a technical escalation point.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple work streams simultaneously.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Skills in Infrastructure as Code, ARM/BICEP.
