IT Infrastructure Engineer

Energis is currently recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client based in Newtownabbey.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure the successful applicant will build relationships with on-site management teams and IT users, providing Infrastructure third-line support covering desktop, server, networking and security systems.

Responsibilities:

• On-site infrastructure support and maintenance
• Incident management and service request delivery in line with IT department SLAs
• Project assistance for site infrastructure and software changes
• Problem management, including root cause analysis and pro-active identification of site risks / issues
• Contribute to service improvement plans for site IT delivery and infrastructure support services
• Implement changes in line with the IT change management process and CAB
• Build close relationships with IT team and users

Criteria:

• Extensive experience working within an IT Service / Infrastructure team
• An understanding of modern IT Infrastructure technologies and tools including Cloud, M365, networking, security systems
• Experience in the support of MS Azure and M365 technologies
• Experience in basic networking and switch management
• Experience in IT hardware installations
• Experience in maintaining on-site server / communications room equipment
• Excellent customer service and communications skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with IT users and business managers
• Driving License and transport required
• Previous experience working to ITIL best practice, ITIL Foundation qualified (desirable)
