IT & Indirects Category Manager - Global FTSE 100 FMCG Player - Central London - £40,000 - 60,000 + Car + Benefits

This iconic FTSE 100 FMCG brand has experienced explosive growth over the past 5 years, with continued expansion forecasted and increased investment in procurement. Now is an exciting time to join this close-knit Strategic Sourcing team.

The new procurement role involves managing a complex multi-million-pound spend across IT Software, Hardware, Consultancy, HR, Utilities, FM, and Fleet. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate with major technology vendors like Microsoft, HP, Dell, Oracle, IBM, and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading sourcing for Software, Hardware, and Professional Services, including Licensing, Cloud, Data Centers, Servers, Storage, etc.
  • Negotiating with leading technology suppliers to secure favorable terms and cost savings.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes, including RFPs and RFQs.
  • Engaging with executive stakeholders to support procurement initiatives.
  • Fostering a high-performance procurement culture and upskilling team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong procurement experience within established companies, with at least 2 years in IT & Technology categories.
  • Progression from Buyer to Senior Buyer to Procurement or Category Manager.
  • Degree or MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
