Job summary

A growing technology support firm based in Bromley is looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician. You will provide 1st-line IT support, assist with setups, and help maintain IT systems. The role offers a starting salary of £24k, rising to £26k after probation, with excellent benefits including training and mentorship. This is a hybrid position after training, supporting your development in IT certifications.

Job description

IT Helpdesk Technician (Hybrid after training) – Bromley - £24k - £25k rising to £26k + excellent benefits

Our client is small but growing Microsoft specialist support company based in Bromley, they help clients with tech support, installation an ongoing IT. They are currently looking to recruit an IT Helpdesk Technician.
Our client will support you to obtain any Microsoft certifications, with exam costs covered

Duties include:

• Working directly with the founder every day to move the business forward.
• Provide 1st-line IT support to clients (email, phone, and in person)
• Assist with PC setups, software installs, password resets, and printer issues
• Help maintain and document IT systems and inventory
• Occasionally visit client sites for hands-on support (travel via public transport)

Skills Required:

• A strong interest in IT and problem-solving
• Friendly, professional communication skills, comfortable speaking on the telephone.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Basic understanding of Windows, Microsoft 365, or common IT setups

Desirable Skills (but not essential):

• Microsoft 365 exposure
• Any hands-on tech experience
• Relevant IT qualification
• Previous experience in IT support
• PowerShell or scripting experience

Package include:

£24,000 starting salary (pro-rated for part-time)
Increase to £26,000 after successful 6-month probation
28 days paid holiday (incl. bank holidays)
Paid overtime for any Weekend or Bank holiday work.

Hours: 37.5 hours/week (08:30–17:00, 1-hour unpaid lunch)
