As a digitally enabled services business, a critical component to us delivering excellence to our clients is our ability to effectively manage risk. Reporting into the Chief Technology Officer, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Quality Manager to deliver our IT quality assurance capability. This role is responsible for ensuring that all IT services and infrastructure meet the highest standards of quality and performance aligned to defined standards, and that our technology risks are appropriately managed.

The IT Quality Manager will work closely with internal and third-party technology teams, information security, and business teams to develop and implement quality standards, manage quality testing processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. This role will bridge the gap between governance resources focusing on compliance reporting and technology delivery teams, to ensure the technology function operates in line with principles, policies, and standards defined. They will also ensure any agreed remediation activities identified through continual improvement, audits, or actions from monthly reviews are on track.

This role will ensure that we support our business, maintain, and enhance our credibility with clients and key stakeholders, including regulators, by driving the quality agenda. Key Responsibilities

  1. Define, document, and maintain a quality assurance capability for IT services.
  2. Establish quality benchmarks and metrics to measure IT quality effectiveness.
  3. Coordinate with CMO to ensure this is built into new projects, including testing teams to ensure thorough testing of all IT products and services, including functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
  4. Ensure IT systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
  5. Coordinate with the information security GRC team and second-line risk function to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to IT quality and performance.
  6. Continuously evaluate and improve IT quality assurance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement automated tools and techniques to streamline activities.
  7. Collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  8. Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations to leadership and relevant teams.
  9. Provide mentorship and guidance to IT team members on quality management best practices and tools.
  10. Engage with incident management teams to investigate quality-related incidents, ensure timely resolution, and document root causes. Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  11. Serve as a key contact for IT Governance, Risk, and Control, Risk Assurance, and Internal Audit to report on alignment.
  12. Chair monthly IT Quality forum and report on the status of remediation activities, ensuring stakeholder clarity and early risk detection.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Strong understanding of quality management and compliance concepts in a regulated environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to form meaningful relationships across functions to align delivery teams and third parties.
  • Leadership presence and accountability for outcomes, with the ability to communicate with executives and technical teams.
  • Technical expertise is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certifications such as CSQA, ISTQB, or ITIL Foundation are preferred but not required.
