IT Finance Analyst – Fixed Term Contract

As an IT finance analyst, working closely with our IT & Marketing Finance Business Partner and the broader commercial finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting development of the Vetup veterinary software suite, providing financial analysis, insight and strategic support to enhance decision making in this area of the business.

This role is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a term of 9 months.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Partnering with Genpact, VetUp finance, the IT FBP and Group Finance to review and validate Vetup's intercompany funding requirements and existing intercompany balances. Based on findings, ensure that relevant balances are all booked in the Company's financial statements (including ensuring accurate calculation and accounting for ICO interest on all working capital loans) and work with the business to clear down balances as appropriate.
• Maintaining foundational finance processes – ensuring completeness of Vetup invoicing (Interco & third party).
• Ensuring completeness of accounting entries reviewed and validated monthly; to include reconciling sales to invoicing and ensuring application of accruals-based accounting.
• Reviewing of project accounting positions across local market and group ledgers.
• Partnering with Genpact, VetUp finance and the IT FBP to deliver monthly P&L reporting and ensure the IT FBP is equipped with periodic summaries of technical accounting issues to address with Group Accounting. Vetup new projects - finance project management
• Ongoing comprehensive review of new VetUp project launches from an opex/capex perspective.
• Conducting assessment of historic VetUp accounting entries to support determination of appropriate transfer pricing and billing structures for the centralised VetUp operating model.
• Supporting development of billing processes in conjunction with the sales ledger function.

In addition to the above responsibilities, as business need dictates, this role may be required to support with other IT finance projects, particularly related to project accounting.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant
• Experience of working in a finance role partnering an IT department
• Deep knowledge of project accounting principles
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to achieved desired outcomes
• Self-starter, able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
• Experience in an entrepreneurial environment, where decisions can be made quickly, processes can be immature and a hands-on approach helps everyone to succeed.
• Familiar with Oracle, Open Accounts and Power BI
