The IT Executive provides technical support to TEAM LEWIS employees, including desktop, audio/visual, and mobile computing/devices support. Liaising with the global IT team to provide support cover and extra resources, as required. Aptitude to multi-task, prioritise, problem-solve rapidly across time zones and often out of hours whilst remaining professional and calm, will be key to success.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide technical consultancy to users in local offices regarding AV and Presenting, printing options, Network Connectivity, and other software packages that may require special assistance
  • Act as senior escalation support when required
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Take ownership of regional onboarding and leaver processes to ensure hardware sourcing, IT inductions, and access termination are in line with security policies
  • Troubleshoot networking issues
  • Liaise with team members for purchase approval if needed and work with key suppliers
  • Manage and maintain security groups following best procedures and policies

Projects

  • Work with the global IT team to implement large-scale IT projects and new office setups
  • Liaise with your line manager to provide support during absences or busy project periods
  • Identify areas for development that can be implemented in future projects, including support, hardware, software, or procedural improvements
  • Manage key supplier and contractor relationships, including service reviews and assessments

Teamworking

  • Ensure personal and team objectives are met regularly
  • Report activity levels accurately to the manager and team
  • Escalate IT requests to appropriate team members and act as a first point of contact for inquiries
  • Work closely with the line manager to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses, and support career development
  • Suggest ideas to improve processes and systems
  • Support training of other TEAM LEWIS employees where relevant
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to understand the agency’s business, clients, and work

General

  • Run and support training sessions to expand team skills
  • Promote the TEAM LEWIS brand, work, identity, and values proactively
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, practices, and policies

About you

  • Working technical knowledge of basic networking, Mac OS X systems, current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Strong personal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning
  • Ability to research a wide range of computing issues as required
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical employees and end users
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments
  • Enjoys working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong knowledge of Mac OS, MS Office/MS 365 applications, Windows support is a plus
  • Ability to support and diagnose network issues
