Reporting to the IT Service Centre Manager, this role is part of our IT Services team and is essential in delivering effective and efficient IT services. As an IT Engineer, you will provide first-class technical support to all IT customers, serve as the escalation point for our IT Service Desk, and help maintain West Lothian Council's IT infrastructure using the latest technologies to implement fixes and fulfill service requests.
You will work closely with the IT Service Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Project Managers, IT Service Desk, and other colleagues within IT Services, focusing on delivering excellent IT service to our customers.
The IT Services structure is based on ITIL v3, and a solid understanding, knowledge, and experience of best practices are required.
Applicants should have proven experience in implementing and supporting client and server management technologies within a multi-site, multi-security profile organization, including at least three years of experience working with Microsoft SCCM environments.
