Job summary

Marks Sattin is recruiting for a Senior IT Director to lead technology strategy and delivery through a transformation in a pan-European asset-intensive environment. Reporting to the CEO, you will build a lean, high-impact IT function that directly drives business performance.

You’ll own the end-to-end IT agenda, drive a Microsoft-led transformation (Dynamics 365 F&O / Supply Chain), and oversee MSP/vendor management, security, and data/MI.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior IT leadership experience in asset-intensive sectors.
• Deep experience with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft ecosystem.
• Proven delivery of ERP transformation, integrations and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder and budget management.
• Willingness to be onsite 3 days per week in London with travel.

A fast-growing, pan-European organisation in an asset-intensive/rail environment is hiring a Senior IT Director to lead technology strategy and delivery through a period of transformation and integration. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll build a lean, high-impact IT function and ensure technology directly enables business performance (not “theoretical best practice”).

The opportunity

• Own the end-to-end IT agenda: strategy, operations, security, vendors, and change
• Drive Microsoft-led transformation, with major focus on Dynamics 365 F&O / Supply Chain
• Play a key role in post-acquisition systems consolidation and standardisation across entities
• Lead pragmatic adoption of automation/AI to improve reporting, workflows and decision-making
• Maintain a resilient platform with 99.9% uptime and strong regulatory compliance

What you’ll lead

• Multi-year tech roadmap aligned to business goals and operational efficiency
• D365 performance and continuous improvement, integrations, and reporting/Power BI insights
• Secure, reliable IT operations (identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, backups, SOC-aligned security)
• Pan-European MSP and vendor management, service performance and commercial outcomes
• A small, capable team across service delivery, architecture, and data/MI

What we’re looking for

• Senior IT leadership experience in mid-to-large organisations (asset-intensive sectors preferred)
• Strong Dynamics 365 and Microsoft ecosystem background (Azure/M365/Power Platform/security)
• Proven delivery of complex change (ERP optimisation, integrations, transformation programmes)
• Confident stakeholder management and commercial/budget ownership
• Able to be onsite 3 days per week in London with regular European travel
