Job description

A greatnew opportunity for a First Line/Desktop Support Technician to join our busy IT team.

As a First Line support, you will be an integral team member and will provide quality support and guidance to the businesses and end users. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will provide IT telephone, online and onsite first line support. You will also be responsible for the logging and administration of support calls on the IT helpdesk, resolving issues where possible and escalating as necessary.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Ensure the IT Helpdesk is kept up to date, all calls are being responded to and users are kept up to date
  • Raise calls on behalf of users on the IT helpdesk
  • Answer inbound calls from users on the IT support phone line
  • Setting up and installing laptops, PCs and mobile devices
  • Assist with end user IT training
  • Maintain appropriate records of time spent and actions taken on all work carried out
  • Liaise with third parties for escalated support issues
  • Perform PC hardware and software diagnostics and coordinate repairs

Required Knowledge/Experience:

  • Microsoft Windows 10/11 Operating System
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Desktop PC and Laptop Hardware
  • Anti-Virus Technologies
  • Cloud technologies
  • Apple mobile devices
  • General understanding of wireless technology

Required Qualifications:
