We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Desktop Manager to lead our desktop support function across our extensive office and manufacturing facilities. This role is critical in delivering high-quality, hands-on IT assistance across our sites, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance for both administrative and production environments.

As the IT Desktop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team that supports end users across our offices and manufacturing floor, covering around 3 million square feet of workspace. You will ensure that all technical issues, ranging from end-user devices to shop-floor IT systems—are resolved efficiently, with minimal impact to operations.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Desktop Manager to lead our desktop support function across our extensive office and manufacturing facilities. This role is critical in delivering high-quality, hands-on IT assistance across our sites, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance for both administrative and production environments.

As the IT Desktop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team that supports end users across our offices and manufacturing floor, covering around 3 million square feet of workspace. You will ensure that all technical issues, ranging from end-user devices to shop-floor IT systems—are resolved efficiently, with minimal impact to operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage, mentor and develop a high-performing desktop support team, setting clear expectations and fostering a proactive, customer-focused culture.
  • Oversee the delivery of excellent hands-on IT support for office staff and factory-floor users, including PC, printer, and workstation issues, as well as IT elements supporting production machinery.
  • Ensure IT support coverage is maintained across all business-critical areas, including offices, factory production lines, and shared spaces.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex or high-impact issues; ensure incidents are resolved promptly and documented accurately.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders in office and manufacturing teams to understand support requirements and align IT services with business needs.
  • Track and report on support performance, SLAs, and KPIs. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across support processes.
  • Establish and maintain robust documentation, team playbooks, and IT support procedures to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training plans to ensure the team keeps pace with technical and operational developments.

In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
