Job Title: IT Deployment Technician (SC Cleared)
Location: Coningsby, Lincoln
Rate: £180 - £214 per day (Umbrella Inside ir35) depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Initial contract - potential for extension
Clearance: Must hold active SC Clearance

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced IT Deployment Technician to join a critical device refresh project at a secure site in Coningsby. This role involves hands-on device deployment, user migration support, and inventory management, ensuring a smooth and efficient refresh process in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain the Refresh Clinic for device migration activities

• Deploy and configure laptops, collect existing user devices, and follow handover processes according to the migration schedule

• Move IT equipment between storage and deployment areas, ensuring secure handling

• Accurately update workflow management systems and complete relevant documentation

• Conduct daily stock checks and maintain up-to-date inventory records

• Identify and escalate technical issues promptly, involving Post Migration Support as required

• Follow site protocols for secure storage and end-of-day equipment management

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience in hardware deployment, tech refresh, or end-user device support

• Familiarity with workflow management or ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively with users and technical teams

• Comfortable with manual handling of IT hardware and stock movements

• Active SC Clearance is essential

Desirable:

• Experience working in secure, defence, or government environments

• Basic understanding of ITIL service management processes
