Job summary

Levy Global is seeking an experienced IT Database Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. You will support, administer and secure production databases, ensuring high availability, performance and resilience across the database estate while contributing to ongoing infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong SQL/PLSQL skills, UNIX/Linux familiarity and experience with monitoring, disaster recovery and security management.

Qualifications

• 5 years + experience in production database administration.
• At least 2 of SQL-Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle are essential.
• Experience with production DBs like ClickHouse or Snowflake is a plus.
• Understand DB monitoring, disaster recovery and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and database programming languages (SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL).
• Experience managing security and permissions; knowledge of best practices.
• Attention to detail, testing and documentation; proactive, team-oriented.
• Scripting in PowerShell or Shell, Python, or Ansible is a plus.
• Cloud DB administration experience is a plus.

IT Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Database Engineer to join our client’s growing infrastructure team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where you’ll be responsible for supporting, administering and securing critical production databases. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance and resilience across the database estate while contributing to ongoing infrastructure and database projects.

What we are looking for:

• 5 years + experience in production database administration. At least 2 of the following: SQL-Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle are essential.
• Experience in database administration within a production environment for below DB products is a plus but not essential: ClickHouse, snowflake,
• Basic understanding of DB monitoring, analysis, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux
• Experience in one or more database programming languages (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL etc.) for design, maintain, administrate, secure, backup and recovery across production, back test, UAT and development environments
• Experience of managing security and permissions
• Knowledge of industry best practices
• Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
• Organized with a proactive approach to work. Team player essential.
• Experience in scripting in Powershell/Shell script, python, ansible would be a plus
• Experience in cloud DB admin would be a plus
