INEOS Grangemouth seeks an IT Database Administrator with Oracle/SQL to join the Applications Team. You will manage and optimise Oracle and MS SQL databases, ensuring availability, security and performance across the estate.
You will collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Service Desk, deploy upgrades, implement backups, DR strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement within an ITIL framework.

Key accountabilities
Primarily to provide database administration, support & development across the Oracle and MS SQL database estate. Ensuring availability, performance, integrity and security of the databases are maintained in line with business requirements. Proactively plan and perform software patching and upgrading in line with best practice. Creating and maintaining database standards and policies to align with IT Group standards. As a key member of the apps support team assist in troubleshooting of any application issues and unplanned outages demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills to support applications.
