Trainer/Instructor – IT & Cyber Security Modern Apprenticeships

Direct Partners are hiring tech-savvy and learner-focused Trainers/Assessors to deliver IT & Cyber Security Modern Apprenticeships across Scotland.

The Role

You’ll support apprentices working in technical roles like IT support, systems admin, or cyber security — helping them gain practical skills and industry-recognised qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver frameworks such as IT & Telecoms Professionals and Cyber Security
  • Deliver remote and on-site learning and assessment
  • Conduct initial assessments, inductions, and progress reviews
  • Support SDS claims and quality assurance requirements
  • Engage with employers to align learning with workplace needs

About You

  • Professional experience in IT support, infrastructure, or cyber security or in industry specific roles.
  • SQA Assessor qualification or interest in achieving it
  • Enjoys helping others grow
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical and security topics
  • Clear communicator with great planning and people skills
  • Able to travel for on-the-job observations (driving licence required)
