YOUR PROFILE

The IT Cost & Value team is part of the growing Business Technology practice. We are looking for talented individuals to join the team to help our clients make strategic cost optimisation and transformation decisions to help realise the true value of their technology (people, technology, and capabilities).

Our IT Cost & Value team works in close partnership with two other offer teams: (i) Technology Strategy and (ii) IT Mergers & Acquisitions. Our work typically involves the following:

  1. Advising clients on what the strategic role of technology should be within their organisation: where does technology need to be truly differentiating and innovative, where does it need to be provided as a repeatable core service, and how to operationalise the capabilities (in house, outsource, partner etc.)
  2. Modelling benefits and costs to deliver a substantiated business case for change alongside an achievable plan to deliver desired outcomes.
  3. Identifying how IT Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) can be optimised through the analysis and prioritisation of cost levers across and beyond the IT estate.
  4. Building the right level of digital capabilities between technology and people to get organisations ready to tackle current and future challenges.
  5. Helping clients define their technology strategy for restructuring their technology asset base to support merger and acquisition initiatives or wider digital transformation objectives.

We are looking for Managing Consultant and Senior Manager-level candidates with elements of the below experience:

  1. Evidence of delivering and leading successful cost optimisation and transformation engagements, driving positive outcomes and developing opportunities to deliver follow-on work.
  2. Evidence of specialism in IT cost management and optimisation (i.e. IT financial management, Technology Business Management (TBM), financial accounting, TCO analysis, cost-benefit analysis and business case modelling).
  3. Evidence of managing teams, including multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments.
  4. The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  5. Experience in leading and supporting sales efforts, as well as shaping deal and engagement commercials.
  6. Excellent understanding of industry trends and how to capitalise on technology to drive client value.
  7. The ability to support clients with moving away from conventional annual budgeting to multi-year strategic investment plans that fund products rather than projects.
  8. Experience in using third-party IT financial management tools is a plus.
  9. Evidence of achieving sales targets of at least £500k (Managing Consultant) / £1m (Senior Manager) per annum as well as building and maintaining a pipeline of work.
  10. Evidence of practice development, team building and developing more junior colleagues.
