IT Clinical Systems Configuration Specialist (Band 6)
Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is working with partners across the care community to deliver a unique, cross-care setting, real-time, patient-centric electronic health record that will improve the quality and delivery of care to the patient.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the IT Clinical Systems Team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 6 IT Clinical Systems Specialist. The team supports the services of ANHSFT and our wider Place partners, such as Bradford Teaching Hospital Trust, in their ongoing use and development of TPP SystmOne for clinical and operational teams.
The primary project for the successful candidate will be to act as the SystmOne Specialist during our Trust's transition to and ongoing support of SystmOne as the Primary Record.
Main duties of the job
- Support the ongoing use and development of TPP SystmOne and ICE for ANHSFT services and wider Place partners such as BTHFT.
- Communicate complex system requirements, corporate issues, and analysis through comprehensive reports and negotiate resolutions with Trust management, external system suppliers, and project teams.
- Provide specialist support and advice on system specification, configuration, requirements, functionality, implementation, and rollout across the organization to support care, policy-making, and accountability.
- Design and build new services and operational practices.
- Review existing systems and processes for continued suitability.
- Coordinate between bespoke projects, the Integrated Health Record Programme, and 'business as usual' system changes.
- Manage highly complex and sensitive information, presenting it to large groups as needed.
- Liaise with external third-party system suppliers to develop and adapt information systems to stakeholder requirements.

Person Specification
Education/Training/Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent experience in an IT service environment with relevant skills
- SystmOne Train the Trainer certification
- Experience with specialist IT electronic healthcare record systems, especially TPP SystmOne and CliniSys ICE
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
- ITIL V3 Foundation or equivalent
Experience
- Managing comprehensive patient systems supporting patient care
- Experience within a healthcare setting
- Project delivery experience
- Supporting change within clinical environments
- Producing training materials

Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro-rata.
