Job Description:

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading financial services client to recruit for an IT Category Manager.

The role:

As IT Procurement Manager, you will be a key part of the Procurement Team. This position involves partnering with key stakeholders across all levels of the company. As part of an ambitious and acquisitive organisation, you will be exposed to a range of responsibilities with depth and variety.

Key accountabilities:

• Support IT and business procurement needs as a member of the Group Procurement Team.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK and beyond to understand business needs and incorporate them into strategy and project delivery.
• Assist in developing the IT Procurement plan, identifying savings and value opportunities aligned with organisational goals.
• Support IT Business Partners on complex projects with project management and analytics.
• Negotiate and draft contracts.
• Monitor contract renewals, prepare strategies, and negotiate standards, tools, and practices to enhance supplier performance.
• Help design and implement supplier management plans and review critical/strategic suppliers.

Skills and experience required:

• 3-5 years of IT and Procurement sourcing experience.
• CIPS or part-qualified, with a desire to achieve MCIPS.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
