Role: The IT Business Analyst reports to the Head of Project Delivery and collaborates with Product Managers, Development, Support, and Infrastructure teams.

The Business Analyst will gather requirements, create documentation, and ensure solutions meet client expectations and project goals. Responsibilities include supporting project management activities, conducting quality assurance, and following up on queries. The role involves translating business needs into functional scope for development teams and providing ongoing support during the software development lifecycle, ensuring client impacts are captured.

Below is a brief overview of the products you'll work on:

You will help build, extend, and maintain products including Equisoft/transfer, /pay, /trade, and Pension Fusion. These SaaS products serve UK investment and pension companies for asset transfers, pension investments, payroll, and tax reporting. Our latest product, Pension Fusion, supports the government's pension dashboard initiative, providing individuals with a comprehensive view of their pensions.

Your Week with Equisoft:

Product Requirements:

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements into user stories using Atlassian tools
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure features meet technical specs
• Conduct impact analysis of new features
• Support development during sprints (answer questions, participate in demos, review test cases)
• Participate in planning, stand-ups, and status meetings
• Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed
• Maintain product documentation and client quick guides
• Serve as a product subject matter expert
• Provide ongoing client support and handle queries
• Act as escalation point for support team queries
• Stay updated on industry changes

Client Implementations:

• Assist product managers with client requirements for tailored configurations
• Create project documentation and estimates
• Produce integration documentation and example code
• Generate SQL scripts for implementation
• Support clients during onboarding and integration
• Conduct client training on customized configurations
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and communication

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Specialist
• Curious, problem solver with a technical mindset
• Strong business analysis skills
• Proficient in SQL & XML
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with thoroughness
• Experience working with development and testing teams, understanding SDLC
• Knowledge of financial services, investments, wealth management, pension, and fund administration
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented, tactful, diplomatic, autonomous
• Organized with good prioritization skills
• Experience in requirements gathering and documentation

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with investment transfers or pension payroll
