Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.

We are currently looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our IT department. This role will support the delivery of the SCUK’s Change Portfolio by collating requirements, reviewing designs and development activities, and supporting defect/incident management. The role will also include the support and management of driving the Technology Small Change Request backlog.

Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders and IT support teams
  • Reviewing system design to ensure alignment with requirements and needs of the business and IT support teams
  • High level testing and hands-on reviewing of software functionality and demos
  • Supporting incident and defect resolution
  • Create and support the development of the ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ process and data maps and architectural designs.
  • Supporting the Business Analyst Community for continuous improvement ideas and development needs
  • Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst
  • At least 5 years’ experience on Software Development programmes with knowledge and understanding of the development lifecycle
  • Stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong business process mapping and analysis experience
  • The ability to chair, own, and steer critical development meetings to achieve a satisfactory outcome
  • Ability to promote the exchange and development of knowledge and experience within the group
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of Santander’s business strategy and model and translates vision into priorities and direction
  • Experience challenging and analysing business propositions to help others explore opportunities and generate initiatives
  • Awareness and understanding of the main risks facing business area and their role in managing them
  • The ability to assess the effectiveness of Santander’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and oversees changes when required
  • Ability to ensure business and financial affairs are managed with diligence and integrity for the benefit of shareholders, customers and employees in compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and regulation
