This is a key role where you’ll be instrumental in aligning business needs with IT solutions—aviation industry experience is essential.

About the Role:

As the IT Business Analyst, you will act as the link between airline business units and the IT department. Your mission: to enhance customer experience through effective analysis, documentation, and implementation of IT-driven business improvements. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle of IT solutions—from requirements gathering through to implementation and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse business requirements through direct engagement with stakeholders.
  • Draft and refine detailed Business Requirement Specifications including test cases, flowcharts, and mock-ups.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Create and deliver end-user training and documentation.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Lead daily stand-ups and regular progress meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests.
  • Contribute to website CMS updates as needed.
  • Identify industry innovations and recommend them to the business.
  • Provide monthly reporting on project and support activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within the aviation industry (e.g., airline, GDS provider, or aviation tech).
  • Strong working knowledge of airline reservation systems, GDSs, and passenger service systems (e.g., PPS – IBE, DCS, Analytics & Reporting).
  • Proven experience managing IT projects in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and business process design.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Background in working within a decentralised corporate structure.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • University degree or extensive, demonstrable experience in the airline industry.

Personal Attributes:

You are collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a drive to go above and beyond in supporting your team and delivering real value. You align with core values such as respect, integrity, teamwork, and service excellence—and you’re passionate about making a difference in the aviation space.
