Job summary

Barclay Simpson is seeking experienced IT Audit Managers to join the internal audit function of a well-established organisation in Birmingham. You will provide assurance across a broad technology portfolio including cyber security, IT governance, infrastructure and applications.

The Senior Manager will take on leadership, coaching and quality assurance responsibilities across the audit portfolio, shaping the function's future direction and ensuring high audit standards.

Qualifications

• Strong IT Audit experience across complex enterprise technology environments.
• Good understanding of technology risk management, IT controls and governance frameworks.
• Senior Manager candidates require leadership experience and a track record of managing complex audits, teams and senior stakeholders.
• CISA/CIA/CISSP/ITIL or similar qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver risk-based IT audits across complex technology environments.
• Assess IT governance, cyber security, infrastructure, applications and technology controls.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Identify emerging technology risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide independent challenge.
• Produce concise audit reports and communicate findings to senior management.
• Senior Manager: lead, coach, and assure quality across the portfolio.
• Contribute to improvements in audit methodology and professional standards.
