Job Description
The IT Audit Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing a sound understanding of the Group IT control environment and the IT Transformation Programme.
- Planning and executing a portfolio of technology audits across the business.
- Carrying out GIA risk assessments to provide specific risk inputs for the annual audit plan.
- Executing and delivering audits in line with audit methodology, IIA standards, and budget.
- Producing impactful, balanced IA reports that address root causes and include commercial, sustainable recommendations.
- Ensuring follow-up on recommendations to closure, driving timely issue resolution and control sustainability.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders including the CTO, CISO, CPEO, and Programme Director.
- Staying informed of emerging technology risks and best practices.
- Performing risk advisory projects to support high-impact IT change initiatives, with approval from Heads of Audit and the Chief Internal Auditor.
- Supporting business auditors in assessing IT controls during business audits.
- Enhancing the profile of Group Internal Audit through professionalism, partnership, and independence.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 4 years of experience in auditing IT functions within financial services, either in external or internal audit roles.
- In-depth knowledge of IT risks and audit methodologies, including data analytics capabilities.
Additional desirable experience includes:
- IT security, including access management, perimeter security, and threat management.
- Solid understanding of IT general controls (ITGCs).
- IT outsourcing arrangements, including service delivery, supplier management, and data security.
- IT governance, strategy, and operating models.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ISO, ITIL (desirable).
- Knowledge of project change management methodologies (desirable).
- Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently.
- Excellent analytical, influencing, presentation, and relationship skills.
