IT Audit Manager - London - up to £90k - Corporate and Retail Bank

My client is a major UK Corporate Banking house with some retail products looking to expand its IT Audit team.

The ideal candidate will have a technical IT focus, whether that is exposure to:

• Cybersecurity
• Cloud
• Infrastructure
• Applications

Responsibilities

1. Producing high quality analysis and input to the annual risk assessment process and related annual audit plan.
2. Tracking outstanding management actions through to closure, ensuring they are appropriately resolved with supporting evidence or escalated in a timely manner.
3. Proactive interaction across the GIA function to support the delivery of departmental goals and to maintain high quality outputs.
4. Delivering quality, risk-based, value-adding audits and reviews on a timely basis in line with methodology.
5. Performing business monitoring to ensure that GIA is aware of changes in business activities and objectives, and a necessary audit response is developed.
6. Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with management.
7. Encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing between GIA, Risk, Compliance, and the business to embed a robust risk management and control culture.
8. Ensuring all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to, and all reporting and reviewing activities required by regulatory bodies are carried out to the standards required.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in IT internal audit roles, preferably within Financial Services.
• Knowledge of technology, operational risk, data, and cyber risks, including best practice standards and regulations applicable to the bank.
• Understanding of SDLC, Cloud, and other technology-related topics.
• Experience in leading/supporting continuous monitoring and stakeholder management.
• Motivated and organized, able to work under pressure.
• Ability to build strong relationships with auditees.
• Influencing and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of data analytics.

Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Candidates from consultancy backgrounds are considered if they have conducted non-standard audits covering the topics above.

This role is suitable for candidates who have led initial projects and are seeking to step up, as they will be entrusted with delivering complex projects.
