IT Architect - Inside IR35 - Up to £640 per day - Farnborough - BPSS (leading to SC) - 6 Months - ONSITE - TWO STAGE INTERVIEW

Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an IT Architect to work a 6-month contract with our client within the defence sector, onsite in Farnborough.

Do you have experience working in an Engineering & Manufacturing business and with related toolsets? You will leverage your knowledge to set the vision and define the strategy to build and maintain Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

Reporting To:

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will design, develop, and maintain the IT systems architecture to meet business requirements.

Job Profile:

• Translate business strategy and requirements into defined architectural solutions.
• Provide input into the strategic direction of technology investments.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to design integrated solutions.
• Recommend suitable technology options for medium-sized business capabilities.
• Design the PLM solution to integrate with tools like SAP.
• Ensure designs meet accreditation and security standards.
• Plan, design, and integrate IT system components, including hardware, software, and services.
• Identify and oversee subcontractors for IT projects.
• Work with Project Managers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Experience in an IT architecture role.
• Experience with process and assembly manufacturing.
• Experience with PLM applications (preferred).
• Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Network technologies such as CISCO, Juniper, Vocality (Desirable).
• MS Server and Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) (Desirable).
• Awareness of current and emerging technologies and their applications.
